SafeConnect: Contact Supervision

SafeConnect prioritises flexibility, safety and the wellbeing of the child/ren, while empowering the family with choice surrounding the setting for contact supervision within the community.

Why Choose SafeConnect?

  • We are flexible: We understand that every family's needs are unique. That's why we offer flexibility to enable the family to identify the most suitable location in the child's vicinity for child contact to take place, whether it is in the home or within the local community (subject to risk assessment.)

  • We help parents/carer choose safe and neutral settings that is familiar to the child: By allowing the family to choose the location and with the oversight of one of our highly trained and experienced contact supervisors, children and parents/carers alike can feel safe and comfortable in a relaxed, familiar setting that normalises the experience for the child being able to spend quality time with their parent/carer/family member, without feeling confined to one space, such as a contact centre.

  • We promote positive parent/child relationships, helping parent/carer to embed new skills and understand their child's changing needs: We are committed to fostering positive parent/carer and child interactions, promoting a healthy relationship. We provide high quality reports with recommendations to support continued improvements, geared to reducing the need for child contact supervision. We offer three levels of intervention: Structured: Supervisors provides direct prompts/feedback during the session, Semi-structured: Supervisors provide feedback at end of each session, Exchange: Supervisor is present when the child is exchanged between the parents or facilitates this where parents are not able to communicate directly with each other.

  • Reporting: Our supervisors maintain and provide a contact summary record of each visit or exchange, documenting observations, interactions, and any concerns or incidents that may arise during the session. These reports are provided to the referrer directly to share as relevant. These can be provided directly to the appropriate parties/courts/solicitors by court order only, for which a fee will apply.

  • Individuality:  We strive to accommodate individual needs and preferences to the best of our ability.
