  • Where does Options180 operate?
    While our flagship service is located in West London, we operate in various geographical locations across the South East and work on a peripatetic basis in communities, including interventions in the home, subject to a risk assessment.
  • What types of family support services do you provide?
    Options180 offers a range of services to cater for the different needs of parents and families in crisis. Our offer includes expert witness independent social work parenting assessments; specialist counselling for children, young people including video interactive guidance attachment work; our flagship community based parent teaching, domestic abuse and drug support programme for female parents in recovery from substance misuse; parent mentoring (Turnaround), evidence based parent teaching group programmes and family mediation.
  • What is the philosophy behind your services?
    Our service philosophy emphasizes a collaborative and structured approach to assessment and support for individual families. Our focus is to reduce the emotional cost to children of separation from their caregivers by offering tailored, intensive support in the community, where this is safe to do so.
  • Who makes up the professional team at Options180?
    Our team consists of highly experienced social care and allied professionals across the social and health care domain dedicated to achieving positive change for children living with adversity. We maintain a multi-skilled compliment of staff, including a qualified and experienced counsellor, social workers and a qualified midwife offering timely support to families. We also encourage the active involvement and participation of care-experienced individuals who can volunteer and access paid work opportunities to ensure we deliver a synergistic, family systems approach to assessment and support.
  • How does Options180 ensure the safety and well-being of children and families?
    The child's welfare is our paramount concern. We ensure the safety and well-being of all children and families using our service by ensuring up to date safeguarding policies and protocols are adhered to. Our staff are all DBS checked with relevant qualifications and appropriate training and experience in safeguarding and safer working practices. We complete an initial risk assessment as part of the screening prior to commencing interventions in the community to ensure the safety of all. We focus on fostering collaborative relationships with parents and other professionals to promote positive outcomes. We do this through regular liaison with relevant key professionals and ensure prompt referrals where concerns arise for a child or vulnerable adult's safety.
